Speechwriter Bureau
If you need someone to help you write a speech, the UK Speechwriters’ Guild has access to an international network of specialist speechwriters.
The vast majority of people are not really aware of what a speechwriter does.
There are three valuable benefits a speechwriter offers:
- Most people underplay their strengths. A speechwriter will ensure you present your best self.
- Most people don’t know how to prepare a script. Even if you only use a speechwriter once, you’ll learn how to construct a speech.
- Public speaking has dozens of pitfalls. A speechwriter will guide you through everything from speaking to time to finding appropriate humour.
Our speechwriters have specialist backgrounds: everything from international politics to banking, from charities to oil companies and from pharmaceuticals to after dinner speeches. We can find the right speechwriter for you.
If you have already written your script, many of our speechwriters offer a rapid editing service. An expert speechwriter works like a proofreader. It’s possible to make significant improvements within a couple of hours, and the script can be exchanged by email without even meeting the client.

Speaker Agency
Many of our speechwriters are brilliant speakers in their own right. They may not be famous, but they put words into the mouths of famous people, and they have their own stories to tell.
Our speakers can provide educational slots at conferences, advising your employees how they can improve their communication skills. They can also give entertaining after dinner speeches.
We have close links with the speaking industry and we’re happy to recommend our preferred speakers.
Conference Support
The UK Speechwriters’ Guild organises a number of conferences each year. We can help you choose a venue, we know people who can chair a conference with authority and make the day run smoothly. We have also pioneered inexpensive formats to make your conferences more fun.
We are experts at adding value by persuading speakers co-ordinate their contributions, branding PowerPoint slides and ensuring scripts are appropriate and fit the time slot.

Training
We have a number of trainers among our membership. They usually combine the technical skills with years of experience at the top of their profession. We have people who have worked for advertising agencies, political parties, Government institutions and big corporations. Every organisation has different ways of communicating. We can find the right trainer for your employees.
UK Speechwriter Awards
We want to encourage excellent speechwriting. We publish a quarterly newsletter including extracts from the best speeches written in the recent past. We’re keen to launch an annual awards ceremony for the best speechwriters.
