Standard membership is for people who are already working as writers.

When you join you get a free copy of Max Atkinson’s book, Lend Me Your Ears.

You will also receive our quarterly eight-page PDF newsletter ‘The Speechwriter’, with tips, quotations and tricks of the trade for the professional speechwriter. (Email us for some sample copies). You will be entitled to discounts on training and conferences.

Furthermore, if the Guild is approached with any details of in-house jobs, these details will be circulated to all standard members.

Training & Mentoring Membership, £499 for one year

Training for Speechwriters

T & M Membership means that we will allocate you a trainer who will evaluate five speechwriting assignments over one year. These can either be speeches that you do in the course of your work for an employer or assignments to fulfil for yourself.

These speeches will be assessed in writing by your trainer and you will get recommendations on how you can improve. You will also be entitled to a 30 minute phone call after each of your assignments to discuss your work.
